Gun bloggers have been real good about letting the 2A community know about this. Outreach beyond appears nonexistent.

That's not the issue, myrights2. Yes, of course it can be found on a search engine that picks up websites and blogs. The point is, it can't be found in a NEWS search engine, which means it's not reaching outside the choir.
There are things that can be done to remedy that--next year. For instance, a concerted letters to the editor campaign a few weeks before Nov. 19. Also, the hosting site--which takes PayPal donations--could do a fundraiser to buy a press release on US Newswire or a similar forum, like SAF and other advocacy groups do.
They don't deal with individuals, so it would have to be through a group.
Yeah, that's my point. Gun stores need to get behind this, too--they oughtta have signs up, put a notice in their ads. And a lot of people were saying they were getting their ammo at Wal-Mart--what do you want to bet coroporate HQ in Bentonville knows nothing about this?
Bought several hundred rounds. Do it every year. Tell everyone who will listen about it.Do it every year. Waiting for The blank to hit the fan. Do it every year. One day, or days, it will happen. When they come around begging for help, guns, ammo, etc, or they're just running around bleating, not knowing still, what to do, it won't be much fun either. If I had known as a child there would be so many ignorant people when I grew up, I would have been a better scholar.
My WalMart had whitebox valuepacks sale priced and stocked deeper than I remember them being before. If the gun shop was open on Saturday I might have gone there, but WallyWorld seemed to know what was going on and they stocked up accordingly.
