If Only California Had a Waiting Period...

Police say the 41-year-old Singler then ran outside the store and shot himself. Investigators say Singler apparently brought ammunition for the weapon with him.
The planets must be going through a phase or something--first the judge, then Uncle Hiccup and now this...

HUNH?!?!? Last time I checked, the PDRK had a ten-day waiting period! If I read the article correctly, the guy had ammo for the gun he asked to look at, and when he had it, he ran outside with it, loaded it, and killed himself. Things hadn't even progressed to the point of sale yet.

And, yeah, it must be a new planetary phase. Just heard on GMA about an 8 year old kid who brought a gun to day-care and shot another kid. It was tragic enough, but Charles Gibson and Diane Sawyer set up the usual caterwauling about those evil guns.

Tongue in cheek, RJ, tounge in cheek.

I live in CA. Been fighting these sobs for going on 20 years now.

Yeah, I know you live here, David, and I figured that if that was your headline, it was tongue in cheek. I thought it had been pulled out of the article, though.

I reckon we're BOTH tired of these cretins painting gun owners as knuckle-dragging baby killers!

Perhaps Mr. Singler had become overwhelmingly cognisant of the steadily increasing horror in which we now live?

If he'd tried that kind of stunt here in Missouri the gun store owner probably would have shot him before he got to the door. Not sure if that would be considered ironic or not.
