Armed Defense Advice From an Expert

Single-minded gunslingers say they have a God-given American right to bear firearms hidden or otherwise. Besides the principle part, there's the public safety spin that insists law-abiding citizens need to have a gun at the ready just in case danger intrudes. How generations of Ohioans ever survived without a hidden handgun in every purse or holster we'll never know.
What? You mean Marilou Johanek isn't an expert on armed defense? Her only qualifications to offer comments are that she has ignorant opinions and a soapbox to stand on?

But she used the word "gunslinger" six times...

Oh. That was to make you think she's clever and to prejudice the reader?

So what we're dealing with is just another witless, self-important state-worshipper who doesn't know what the hell she's talking about, but would still rather see good people brutalized and killed than armed?

[Thanks to JM]

Yes, the label "gunslinger" was used quite often in her commentary. You would think as a writer she could me more colorful and mix it up with descriptions like "vigilante" or "hot-headed gun-toting rebel" or "paranoid gun freak" or "NRA apparatchik".

"Gunslinger" makes me want don my cowboy, my boots, strap on a leather holster with a pearl-handled single-action Colt, and puff on a hand-rolled cigarette.

Yeeehaw!

Gunslinger, eh? Is she a journalist, or a writer of dime store Western novels?

Wal, wah hah, Pilgrim!

Tell ya what, lil' missy, why don't you tell the "majority" of Ohioans about the women who have been confronted in public with a gun, forced into a truck and driven out some quiet place for a little rape, torture, and then slow death by strangulation, their nude body found by a stranger. Or about said,"Suspect", usually a three time loser, talks casually about it, IF he goes to trial, to be let off the hook by idiots of your own caliber, because he had a bad upbringing. Or the serial rapists, most of who are never caught, silently sliding open the window to stare down with glee at their victim, knowing the disarmement crowd you belong to made her hesitate once too often about whether or not to buy a gun. Yeah, sweetcheeks, somehow, generations of Ohioans managed to grow up and live their lives without concealed carry or guns in their cars, but a hideous number of them didn't make it because they got mauled and pawed and raped and butchered and shot by the animals you and you ilk let go time and time again to ply their scumbag trade. And rough men and women, not nearly enough, stood ready at the frontiers of this nation for less than hamburger flippers make, to make sure that the rest of the slop of humanity doesn't just stroll over here and help themselves to the smorgasbord. I used to be disgusted by people like you,but that time is passed. You're my enemy. My sworn, idiotic, socialist, soon to be extinct by virtue of world events, enemy. I'll never confront you personnally. When the tide of illegal immigrants, criminals who are not punished, poorly educated overweight slobs who can't fill out a job-app. and dirt intent on bringing this country down slide past our swisscheese borders gets high enough, this country will erupt into gunfire from one end to the other. It will make the
Balkans look a Baptist picnic. Then morons like you can wring your clammy, shaking hands and hide in the closet when they pound on the door, looking for booty, and well, booty.I would give much to know your thoughts before that closet door suddenly swings open. And you finally know. Armed self protection works. Snivelling idiots like you, well, don't make the cut. I pity you.

Thomas Suddes, formerly of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, is cut from the same cloth. He still posts op-eds from Columbus whining that the state legislators have time to cater to "gun-toters" but won't raise taxes "for the children" (the public schools).
