Ironic that football injuries outnumber injuries in the shooting sports.
So do fatal injuries, in football and little league baseball. They outnumber fatalities by accidental gunfire every year. I think the breakdown can be found at the CDC.
Obviously, we can't count intentional murders because the intent is the actual weapon and the means are just a convenience. As evidenced by the fact that most murders are committed with hands and feet as weapons.
