We're the Only Ones "Armed" and Dangerous Enough

A Missouri State Highway Patrol commander is recovering after shooting himself in the arm with a pistol...

"Every once in a while, something like this happens...It's unfortunate, but it's one of those things. That's why guns are dangerous."
With a bit more training, you might realize that incompetent gun handling is what's dangerous.

But what do I know? I'm not an "Only One."

Since this happened near me I was able to get more info than the article had.

During a training exercise where they were practicing transitioning from shotguns to pistols he had his shotgun slung over his shoulder and his pistol in use when the shotgun started to slip off his shoulder.

The good thing on this one is that they immediately fessed up that they messed up.

One of the few cases we hear about where they actually did it right (well, after he shot himself at least)
