Let me get this straight; you get paid to tell the police about a violent criminal who has a gun that he is willing to use...does anyone see a problem with this? Does the word 'payback' ring a bell?
Maybe they figure a short gang war will solve some of their problems.
Putting issues of safety and revenge aside, do we really want to go any farther down the "stool pigeon", "rat out your neighbor", "be a hall monitor", "police informer in a police state" road? Do we really?
What about when they start asking about Jewish neighbors?
Don't dare laugh or dismiss this as ludicrous. Who would have thought it could have happened the first time, until it did?
Not to mention the number of people that will be killed by overzealous lawdogs that had no "illegal" guns, but some asshole thought it couldn't hurt to try for a grand. Midnight raid, shot dead sleeper that scared the little girls in the ninja suits, no harm no foul. Until of course, we have to start shooting back. Because it's a damn lead pipe cinch the powers that be won't stop it, once they get it away with it the first time.
