We're the Only Ones Hauling It In Enough

Vernon RCMP received 60 firearms and hundreds and hundreds of ammunition rounds during the province-wide gun amnesty in June.
"Hundreds and hundreds"? My God, who could possibly need that kind of firepower?

Note Custodiette Shari displaying the cardinal rules of safe gun handling--always point your gun in a safe direction, and never point it at a person unless you intend to shoot him. Good job, Shari--it certainly is a relief to know all those guns are off the street and in your capable hands.

We anticipate a starring role for you in a future "Only Ones" episode.

"Hundreds of deadly weapons have been removed from our streets and will never be used in the commission of a crime."

I thought it said 60, or do these goofballs consider each cartridge to be a deadly weapon?

Weapons may have been removed from the street, but the criminal skum element has not. I suppose that if they don't have access to a firearm, they are re-born into law-abiding, upstanding citizens of the community. No firearm, no more crime, right?
