I've just had time to browse through this and won't be able to give it a detailed read until tonight.
One point that stands out: the prosecutor is arguing the official position of the Bush adminstration Department of Justice.

I also note that closing arguments are scheduled for 9:00 am today in Fayetteville, which means they're probably going on as I type these words.

If the defense isn't "allowed" to discuss the constitutionality of a law, how's an unconstitutional law ever going to get overturned?

The judge needs to be looked at, seriously scrutinized. Arbitrarily ruling a militia has nothing to do with the 2nd amendment, denying constitutional arguments.
Of course Wayne is guilty of violating regulations, but he is also guilty of putting the Constitution in action. I await jurors comments, but am sure they decided on the question of regulation rather than Constitution.
