At least 30 states let some newly hired local law enforcement officers hit the streets with a gun, a badge and little or no training...So if they're untrained and unqualified, what does that say about those who advocate that police are "The Only Ones" who should be armed...?
No one seems to know how many untrained recruits are on the streets. But the practice appears to be most common among small-town police forces and sheriff's departments.

Provides all that much more reason why We The People should be "at all times armed".
I live in Illinois and this is Bull Sh*t straight from Mayor Daley's mouth to his minions in the Capital. Rod Blagojevich, Emil Jones, et al are all under the Democratic Machine that is Richard Daley -- and Richard Daley does not like guns -- period. He won't stop until they are outlaws in the State. It may take another 50 years, but he's getting there!

Prophetjoe, you are wrong. Mayor Daley loves guns. That's why all his bodyguards have them. That's why all his uniformed criminals in the CPD have them.
It is people he hates, especially a free people. That's why he wants them helpless. Harder to work his hatred against an armed people. Much easier to subjugate them when he gets them defenseless.
Don't make the mistake of thinking these guys hate guns. Were that true, they wouldn't have any at their service. It is free will in a free people that they hate.
