This is your second story in the last few days involving the Greater Manchester police and toy guns. It is only a matter of time before they injure or kill some poor subject in their overzealous responce to all gun calls, real or perceived.

I can hear the police administration defending the officers shooting the girls now.

"Well one of them was packing a pair of 38's and the other had pair of heavier caliber. My officers responded to what they considered a direct threat to their manhood, uh, excuse me, I meant to say lives. After all, any reasonable examination of the facts would lead anyone to suspect a booby trap. That is the conclusion of the investigative board. The investigation is complete and you are now fully abreast of the situation. We welcome the chance to share our findings with the public as this in the first case of its kind in recent mammary, er, uh, I meant to say memory. Believe me this case has given us ti... uh, fits, but we are sure we have reached the proper conclusions."
