Why They Hate the Second Amendment

This guy's right on the mark, if a little harsh. Man is sinful from birth, ever since the Garden of Eden. Christians are saved by Christ's sacrifice and resurrection, and have anew nature, but the old nature is still there, waiting for its chance to act out. So, because there are people who are outright evil, we must be able to stop them even with deadly force if necessary.
...well, it doesn't require a Bible, or any other religious text, to identify that humans do aggregious things to each other (particularly religious humans).
Thomas Jefferson was a champion of RKBA, and he had the most superstitious parts of the Bible excised (leaving it much shorter) before distributing to Congress. http://www.beliefnet.com/story/161/story_16121_1.html
