Gelding the Flock

"For the clergy team, one of the biggest tools that they will have in helping calm the public down or to obey the law is the bible itself, specifically Romans 13."
Yeah, well praise the Lord and pass the ammunition.

So much for separation of church and state.

Here's another viewpoint.

It does not say that we must submit to unjust rule.

"Notice that civil government must not be a 'terror to good works.' It has no power or authority to terrorize good works or good people. God never gave it that authority. And any government that oversteps that divine boundary has no divine authority or protection."

Yes, it is about obeying authority.

You should obey authority. Who is the authority?

WE are the authority. These "laws" we are to obey, are not laws. They are against the US constitution, they are illegal laws. It is our right and duty to disobey them.

In America we subject ourselves to the "law" that we are all created equal with certain rights and to fight off all those who try to infringe on those rights...including the ones that do it under color of illegal "laws" and "authority."

WHY did the founders give us the 2ndAmd again? (A great Noah Webster quote comes to mind)

Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God.
