A few people have pointed out to me that he was not there. My immediate thought was to find out if he'd been invited, so I begged off posting on this until I had time to do some checking around.
There's been a lot of buzz that he was excluded, but per an NRA email, Rep. Paul was invited and did not respond.
I've been trying to reach the Paul campaign on this for comment.

My understanding is that NRA contacted the Ron Paul campaign too close to the event. RP had already made another commitment for the time NRA was offering, but wanted to work out the scheduling or do a teleconference. NRA simply replied they didn't have any other time options.
So NRA managed not to have Ron Paul speak and make it look like it was RP's fault. It strikes me as not so unlike the way NRA seems to continually drop the ball in "opposing" gun control.
After promoting passage of the Veteran's Disarmament Bill in Congress, I'm not surprised the NRA is cool to the one Presidential candidate who has received so many endorsements from our veterans because of his consistent proactivity in helping our vets.
NRA desperately needs another Cincinatti house cleaning.
