PSH Miami

That's how he described the president's decision not to renew the ban on assault rifles.
Talk about no understanding, not only of what actually happened, but of the concept of enumerated powers. Both on the part of this boob and on the part of the "Authorized Journalist" whose head it went right over.

And its these voices that reach the masses.

"These guns are designed to kill with lethal force," Sarnoff said.

Is there a weapon designed to kill without lethal force? I'm so confused!

Fascinating quote here: "It will be Rambo becomes reality."

Bad grammar notwithstanding, it does bring to mind an interesting implication. Is Chief John Timoney really saying that if they don't ban AK pattern rifles, the police will needlessly and irresponsibly harass peaceful passers-by, abusing them until they snap and go on a violent rampage? Is he threatening us? Of course, one could just as easily ask if Rambo has become reality, given the behavior of certain Only Ones.

Hmm...

It's just authoritarian scare mongering.

Timoney is a pussy. I try to be considerate of pussies, but I don't take advice from them nor do I infer any intelligence to one.

One more thing. His justification for this bullshit is that a bullet from an AK47 will penetrate a police vest? Guess what all you hunters and bystanders that don't think they want your guns too. Almost everything you hunt with will do the same thing. Does it still sound reasonable?

And one more thing. They want to limit you while they deploy weapons that can penetrated a whole city block of buildings? While they collect as much military equipment as they can, including assault vehicles and tanks and gunships?

Yeah, but they don't have any bad plans for you peaceful "reasonable" "pragmatic" gunowners, do they?

I'm sure most gangsters get AK rifles from drug money. How about instead of banning AKs, we legalize drugs. This would take the incentive and the means away from gangsters to field AKs, and at the same time free up a large chunk of time for police to catch real criminals.

One can dream....

Kurt,
That would be too sensible for them to actually do. Unfortunately, too many gun owners are OK with the rights of some people being violated even when it means the same for them.
