One day in December, Donald Miller III wore a gun to school. As you might imagine, it got him in trouble.
But the gun wasn't loaded; indeed, it wasn't a real gun at all. It was the image of a gun, printed on the front and back of a T-shirt — a shirt the Penn Manor freshman wore to honor his uncle, a soldier in the U.S. Army fighting in Iraq.
On the front pocket, in addition to the picture of the military sidearm, were the words: "Volunteer Homeland Security." On the back, superimposed over another image of the weapon, the words "Special issue — Resident — Lifetime License — United States Terrorist Hunting Permit — Permit No. 91101 Gun Owner — No Bag Limit."
Because, as we've established, "Homeland Security" is something best left to the professionals.
That and children are the property of the state anyway...

My boys go to school there. The District has a record of abuses when it comes to its students.
They were(are) number 1 in teen pregnancy and 2 in drug use in all the Districts in this County.
ALL of the Administrators in PM are more concerned about punishment and power.
Ron Harper is a good man. He ranckles feathers of the Conservative Elitists in this backwards county, who don't know or care about The Constitution or The Bill of Rights...
My one son was "punished" a few years ago for being a boy, plain and simple.....
Quoth the article: "But when someone brings even the image of a gun to school, he says, that violates school policy."
Obvious solution: carefully cut the image of the gun out of the tshirt and wear it to school with a hole in it. You might need to sew some fabric on behind the hole to keep it from flopping around and tearing...
"What image?"
School policy consists of rampant ignorance of history and covering at the mere depiction of an object that is lawful and protected under the federal and state constitutions?
Me thinks school policy, like many of the "laws" and representatives needs fixed. The first thing would be to remove insane rules like this, the second would be to start educating the children as opposed to the victim indoctrination and outright communism that they'll pushing for in other states.
Or a swift kick to the pecans.
