It is pretty sorry when you can't tell the US "Only Ones" from the Cuban.

If you have a close-nit group of friends, neighbors, friends, etc., go shooting and discuss what to do in a raid/standoff situation.
These people aren't peace officers, they're not cops, they are just thugs.
These raids are inexcusable, even if they have the right house or a legit warrant. You don't kick in a door, throw explosives, and scream bloody murder when serving a warrant. Any normal human being would be expected to fire at such assailants.
It really is a shame more dead officers are not accumulating as a result of wrong-house-raids. Sad that it has come to that, but if they refuse to acknowledge their tactics as murderous, then perhaps it is best for nature to run its course and for these departments to suffer losses.
I think most people just aren't prepared. That would go for me to. Not that I blame them, I doubt that there are but a VERY few -even us that have observed and studied the rise of paramilitary "Law Enforcement"- that have had the chance, time, and funding to properly fortify a house to be able to stand in this police-state.
These officers specialize is the art of using overwhelming force to prevent the target from having a chance to react. And that's the problem.

The reason most aren't prepared is that most don't engage in any activity that warrants any attention. Therefore they can't imagine being the target of a raid.
However, the increasing numbers of wrong house raids and murders is starting to make them aware of a government out of control, and then it will be very dangerous to go around kicking in doors. At that point, I expect all these Only One he-men will quit, run, and hide.

I predict they will throw a tantrum and accuse anyone who "fortifies" as being criminal, but screw them.
There really ought to be a Thread on house-fortification in a "police-state world".
We could discuss everything from materials, to known methods, to companies and prices. Communication being vital during a "standoff" situation. In other words, keeping them at bay while you can phone in legal aid. As well as the vital need for cameras and recording. Maybe throw in some tricks like ultra-bright spot-lights to throw a raiding party in disarray.

won't work charleton. They'll just have "experts" examine the tapes and testify they don't show or play what they show or play.
Do you not remember the Rodney King tapes? You know, the ones where the "expert" said every wiggle made by King was "threatening" every time he was kicked or hit with a night stick. And every movement by King, even when only caused by the force of the blows was justification for more blows.
It worked quite well, the first jury acquitted the criminal cops.
The feds then violated the fifth amendment by renaming the same incident and placing the criminal cops in double jeopardy.
Don't get me wrong, those sonsofbitches belonged in jail, but not at the cost of repealing the strictures of double jeopardy for every American citizen.
That was only done because the powers that be feared an uprising and civil unrest fomenting into armed confrontation with the "authorities". We do hold the power, if we weren't so damned afraid of it.
Or for that matter, how many times have you seen "expert testimony" telling you what you saw on the tapes at Waco, was not on the tapes?

It's odd how sometimes even when they raid the wrong address, "A small amount of an illegal substance was found."
Either drug use is a lot more widespread than they're telling us -- and the world isn't coming to an end -- so the laws are stupid, or the cops bring along a little something to plant, and the laws are stupid.
A dynamic entry is only permissible if there's a hostage situation. This is what the troops in Iraq and 'Stan are doing. Searches at gunpoint in teams. That's war, this is home.

Those troops are doing "searches" - as you say - covering entire neighborhoods - or at the encouragement of 'tipsters'. Their method and targeting is extra-legal, often arbitrary, and applied to civilian residences. You may call that a "war" - others might as well see this as more symptomatic of an occupation.
At any rate - wherever my hovel - enter in such a manner - war would then become the operative phrase.
"Home" is somewhere to just about anybody.
