The image of the gauche American, wearing a ten gallon hat, sitting on the Champs Elysee, unable to comprehend a thing - is what your organisation represents to many of us.
My goodness--an English/Canadian and the French think poorly of us!
More insufferable snottiness from a subject with a totally unearned sense of sophistication and intelligence.
Thanks, Ian Carruthers, and I mean that--smug, hate-filled nonsense like what you spout is tremendously valuable for unifying often contentious gun owners. As a token of gratitude, I'd like to send you one of these.

Quelle surprise.
Ian watches too many movies.
My mother was an excellent shot. She carried a .38 and no one ever messed with her, and she never hurt, or allowed to be hurt, anyone in her life. She was ALL LADY, too. No connection whatsoever between her gun and street crime. None.
She would have died for us kids. Ian thinks that's a GREAT idea, apparently. Also apparently, HE'S never been a victim.
I guess Ian isn't quite bright enough to realize that I still don't need a passport to go to Canada.
Cut Ian a break, he probably just has a vaginal yeast infection that is making him cranky.
As David said, thanks Ian. Meantime, keep yourself and your snottiness the hell out of the U.S.!
What's French for "Yippee-ki-yay, m--f--"?
A John McClane moment.
Well, the Canadians should never expect us to save their bacon, the French are toast and the English -- remember that tea party.
The image of the German Army, marching under the Arc de Triumph, down the Champs, in 1871, in 1940, not able to comprehend that they had just whupped a bunch of candy-assed sissy-Marys,....... StraightArrow, I remember a National Lampoon fake magazine cover that went, " Yeast infection halts Manilow Tour". Thought I would die laughing.
Thanks for the image idea, Sean.
I wonder who lit the fuze on Ian's tampon?
You've heard this one, but...
Why are there trees on both sides of Paris's streets?
So the Germans can march in the shade.
Laughingdog,
I don't think you need one to enter Canada. But you DO need one to come back "in country"
At this point you need a passport to reenter for air travel, anon. Right now, for land and sea travel, a DL and birth certificate work--a year from now--June 1, 2009, it will take "a passport, passport card, or WHTI (Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative)-compliant document" for Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean region.
A little while after that, we'll all just have chips embedded in our foreheads.
At that point David I may consider doing some "implanting" myself.
