Oh, one more thing: Scalia's ludicrous vision of a little old lady clutching a handgun in one hand while dialing 911 with the other (try it sometime) doesn't fit the facts.
And Arthur Kellermann would know all about visions not fitting facts. For instance, his vision of citizen disarmament doesn't jibe with what he'd want for his own little old lady.

Don't touch the phone until you have made the situation safe. Then remember that by dialing 911 you are basically turning yourself in for the crime of fulfilling your basic human duty to defend yourself. "S,S,&SU", after all, do you think the attacker left a note saying he would be at your house?
I'm a little not-quite-old-yet lady, and I'm not dialing 911 (aka the cleanup crew) until the tango's on the ground.

Where does the NRA get the figure of 2 million crimes prevented each year by guns? Kellerman's data surely are in opposition to the NRA's. It would seem the NRA could easily dispute Kellerman's claims.
