We're the Only Ones Not at Fault Enough

A 37-year-old Cleveland woman was shot in the pelvis inside her home Monday night when a Highland Hills officer's gun accidentally discharged...
Let's see:
...Officer's Gun Discharges...
...officer's gun accidentally discharged...
...when it went off...
Think they could have made it any clearer how it's the gun's fault-- as opposed to the "Only Ones'" -- in this four-sentence brief?

Maybe he should get a better holster if he's going to carry a drop weapon. You know, a gun for planting at the scene of a bad shoot. A .22, when you don't have to worry about your concealed handgun "printing" because you ARE the one who enforces the gun laws? I doubt it.
No more benefit of the doubt, because WE don't get it.

Clearly, it's the officer's gun's fault. These things go around discharging themselves. They should be banned. But, because they are guns in the hands of the "Only Ones", they will never be banned. The "police", along with all the other outlaws, will have guns.

A .22 for an off-duty gun???
There's no such thing as an accidental discharge! Someone wasn't following one(or more) of the four cardinal rules of gun safety.
