Monroe police say Chief Greg Schwarber accidentally shot himself in the leg at his home on Todhunter Road Friday afternoon.
The Chief said he was teaching his daughter about gun safety and shooting technique...
Because, you know, he's the "Only One" instructive enou...ah, just forget it.
At least they didn't say the gun "went off."

Where have we heard this phony excuse before? My 12 year old grand daughter is bright enough to KNOW that she must check the chamber to see if the gun is loaded or not. She also knows, without fail, that her finger does not belong on the trigger unless she is about to shoot. In short, she KNOWS and follows all of the prime safety rules, all of the time.
If a 12 year old can demonstrate this consistently over several years - yes, she's handled guns with me for 3 years now - then a grown man should be able to manage it... need we say, especially an "only one?"
