The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says the FBI made a big mistake when it reported to Homeland Security that 500 uniforms had gone missing from the agency last year...Oh, well that's very different. Never mind.
But sheriff's office spokesman J.D. Callaway said today that five agency outfits — not 500 — went missing last year, and they were casual items worn by evidence technicians that do not resemble official deputies' uniforms. [More]
Gee, you don't think the "Only Ones" could be this careless with other reports, do you...?

Two issues:
1. This error casts into doubt all FBI statistical reporting.
2. Green 5.11 Tactical Pants are not a Law Enforcement Only restricted item and are freely available from many sources. Wearers of these pants may fool the public, but would not impress the security details working at the Super Bowl (I hope).
