“Allowing visitors to carry firearms into these national treasures makes no sense. The weapons ban has worked well all these years. It has reduced poaching of endangered species and kept the level of violence between people to a minimum.” [More]Vin Suprynowicz deconstructs that argument.
Those of you who are new to WarOnGuns may not remember the promotion I did for his novel "The Black Arrow."

Odd. In Egypt and the rest of the Middle East terrorists and criminals with actual military weapons specifically target people at ancient ruins and natural reserves. Dozens are killed in a matter of minutes. Those are THEIR national parks, and guns are prohibited there too.
Do whut you gotta do.
In The Freeman by Jerry and Sharon Ahern, a militia group takes refuge in the Smoky Mountains National Park when the U.S. descends into martial law. Works out pretty well for them.
