In Virginia, it's against the law for anyone under 18 to buy a gun or to possess a handgun or "assault" firearm in public unless they're hunting or carrying out duties in the armed forces. It's also illegal for juveniles to possess any gun on school property... [More]I don't want to go out on a limb here, but I'd hazard a guess there are probably also laws against threatening people with a gun, shooting people who aren't doing you any harm...
Think hard. There's gotta be something we can do.
What?

"Because teens know the laws, they tend to be careful about showing off their weapons."
David, I have the answer, based on the quote from the article. Let's no longer publish or reveal what the laws are, anymore. That way, anyone can be arrested, searched, detained, investigated, or harassed by the police at any time.
problem solved.........maybe.
Obviously....for the Brady namby-pamby, pants pissing, little fairies.. the answer has gotta be, MORE LAWS!

There should be a law banning ladies who stand over five feet seven inches from wearing purple hats on Tuesdays. That'll fix it!
Well, at least I'll FEEL better!
Just blue-skying here, mind you, but how about this:
Instead of allowing our children to experience weapons handling only via video games, how about if we teach them at a young age how to safely handle weapons, how to become expert marksmen, and how, in real life, firing a weapon at someone has consequences that can't be undone by pressing a "reset" button.
Nah -- couldn't be that simple, could it?
Why not buy a safe? Kind of hard to steal your firearms if it locked up in a 500lb. safe.
My computer security software identified the hamptonroads.com page as UNDESIRABLE. Reason: Dangerous.
I didn't bother to override its assessment, based on the headline.
If our young people are arrogant and aggressive, maybe, just maybe, they learn it from GOVERNBMENT OFFICIALS. Oh, and the media.
