She provided two "contracts" she alleged Percival wrote. These reportedly addressed expectations concerning her hygiene, behavior, sexual behavior and clothing, and spelled out punishments, including belt spankings, she could expect if she did not meet demands. [More]I have trouble feeling sorry for this obvious self-loathing loser, but it is indicative of the type of the incapability of this particular "Only One" to attract a complete woman. And you have to wonder--if he'd do this to her, what he'd do to someone else in his power when no one else was around...

We're the Only Ones Tightening Our Belts Enough

Such "contracts" are fairly common in the BDSM community (I have contacts in the local "scene") and are usually very negotiable. Two consenting adults should be left to their own choices, and unless you can find evidence of this cop abusing strangers in a non-consentual manner it is unfair to accuse him of doing so. Some people live outside the "vanilla" lifestyle in private, but that doesn't make them monsters. Funny, but most of the doctors, cops and lawyers that I've heard of tend to be more on the submissive end of the deals.
From some of the comments to the news story, I gather that this woman has a track record of reacting to the ending of a relationship by accusing her partner of abuse, but says nothing as long as her needs are being met.

First, there's a difference between accusing and speculating, making sure to use words like "if" and "wonder."
Second, I agree--whatever floats your boat. It's not me who made this public record, I merely reacted.
Third, vanilla or whatever, while I would not interfere or intrude, I reserve the right to hold and express the opinion that such behavior is deviant, pathetic and more than a little ridiculous.
