I notice nothing is reported about what the sheriff had to say.
I also wonder just what the writer thinks was a "mistake". It reads like an unprovoked assault with a deadly weapon to me -- irrespective of whether it was the "right" guy.

It said "submit a comment" and I wouldn't want to disobey an officer, I might get tased. But you won't like it.
Admit it, a sadistic coward was too scared and too arrogant to do his job properly. Knowing he would suffer no personal consequence of any importance he did what a whole bunch of sadistic cowards do and have been doing for a while now. It really is pretty simple, but I told you, you wouldn't like it.
However, now you can all start calling me names and spouting that whiny bs you always do when the evidence is against you. Ready, set, go. the winner gets a brand new taser to use on a little kid. We call it our "yes, you will go to bed on time, you have kindergarten in the morning" model.
