I am so sick and disgusted by all the "cop glorification programming" on television. I don't watch any of it, but still run across references to it everywhere. The new trend seems to be to show the LEOs as tough guys who will do anything, or hurt anyone, to show their power and authority. That might be a good thing in a way, but even these jackholes are treated as heroes.

I have come to think of the cop shows as a clever way to condition the TV watching public to become like a sheep when confronted by a police officer. If you see a cop on TV bashing someone's head in for no apparent reason you won't think it as wrong when a cop bashes your head in for no apparent reason.
