Meanwhile, Across the Pond in Sarah Brady Paradise...

UK police used a relatively new law designed to seize the assets of criminals to raid some safety deposit boxes. What's startling- and frightening- is that instead of raiding the boxes of identified criminals, the police obtained a warrant to raid every single box in the facility. They cut them open with angle grinders, catalogued the contents and then basically argued that if you had cash or valuables in the boxes, you were assumed to be guilty and had to prove that you had obtained the valuables legally. [More]
I guess it's a lot safer than going after these guys ...

Is it just me, or is the Glock pictured in the Daily Fail article linked to in this post an Airsoft?

If I lived in England now, I'd flee, "shake the dust from [my] sandals", and come to America. England has become a totalitarian police state.

Looks like the Brits have adopted the SOP of their US gangster cousins:

Always
Think
Forfeiture

State pigs with their snouts in the trough.
Absolutely disgusting and disgraceful.

I don't know why they had to resort to this. Just take it from them direct, like Tehana,Texas.Or like the drunk cops in Chicago. Just beat, maim, rape, steal, murder, long as you're wearing a uniform, you're good. And no one will do a thing.

When it comes to money they seem to spring into action- but today comes the story of a Londoner who found a bag at a playground containing a loaded gun, cash & a passport. He refused to hand it over to the gang hanging out there & called police. They offered to come to his house to get it but, fearing for his safety if the gang followed, he said no. So the cops told him to walk to the nearest police station & hand the gun/evidence in- it was 2.5 miles away.

No concern for his safety, for securing the evidence, for questioning the gang members at the scene or for causing alarm if someone else saw the gun as he walked. And, as police themselves say, if he had been stopped en route- they would have arrested HIM for possession.

Disgusting little Nazis.

This stuff happens when municipal budgets are tight. It has absolutely nothing to do with crime or safety.

The word that properly describes this action begins with a "T".

Money and safe deposit boxes don't shoot back. These guys would rather play it safe than stop dangerous crimes (ie dangerous to them, the peasants be damned.)
