Give Chavez credit for a good tactic to assure dissenters are disarmed. Chavez 1st sent his thugs out to gun down dissenters, while he was french kissing Sean Penn, and then uses the high murder rate to disarm those that escaped his murderous rampage.
Okay. Now, let's see how the government seizure and destruction of "more than 30,000 guns" affects Venezuela's homicide rate.
And isn't everyone just going to call for more of the same when the "disappearances" become too blatant and numerous to be ignored?

Chavez urged a civilian arms buildup for his country when he was ranting about how the US was going to invade. Now we see that, as always, this dictator only favors guns for "certain people."
