Judge Fleming refused to reverse his guilty verdict, telling Abbate, "drunk and stupid is no way to live your life."

Amazing....
Abbate acknowledged during the trial that he was drunk during the incident, but he said [the bartender] pushed him first as she tried to remove him from behind the bar.

The official position of the judiciary in Chicago seems to be if justice is to be achieved against a crooked and brutal cop, he must be killed, because otherwise the system will treat him with favor to point of ridiculousness.
