On Monday, the Department of Public Safety will start going after 255 gun owners in the CNMI who have expired firearms permits. [More]I suppose it's a lot safer for the Department than going after those who never bothered asking for permission in the first place...

not if they saw the license to be nothing more than a simple annoyance between them and self-defense.
why renew?
I've read that pesky Bill of Rights and nowhere does it state that I must have a permit to own anything. Tyrants must die where they stand!!! Let the civil war begin!!!

If we allow it, the state will "reasonably regulate" and "due process" all of us into serfdom, or worse. It has already begun!
If you have property with a home on it you are paying for a permit to keep both. Stop paying your rent (taxes) and see how long it take for the state to send a man with a gun to take it from you. Unconstitutional? Yes! Do you think the state cares? No!
Take a look at David's 21 March GRE column.
