Back to the Future

A hundred years from now, historians and sociologists will look back on these times and puzzle over the right’s utter fanaticism over firearms. [More]
Not necessarily.

History is written by the victors.

Perhaps your concern, Cynthia Tucker, should be on how the role played by slavery-enablers like you will be remembered...

Should the world economy follow Greece into the abyss, in ten or fifteen years, cannibalistic historians (either figurative or literal..) may look back and and puzzle over their utter fanaticism over making themselves into easy meals.

As such, whether we write history shouldn't necessarily be their immediate concern either. :p

So Ms. Tucker doesn't understand the difference between being a "suspect" and being "charged with" or "indicted for" a crime.

It's a good thing the authors of the Bill of Rights understood the difference. As of now, there is no "Department of Pre-Crime" as portrayed in the film "Minority Report."

Guess what Ms Tucker? Even Senator Kennedy was on the no-fly list. According to some estimates, there are around a million names on the so called "terror watch list."

Try Googling "no fly list errors." There was even a kid who was searched from the time he was an infant every time he got on an airplane with his parents.

Thankfully, but no thanks to Bush, Obama, et al, at least some of the Bill of Rights hasn't been completely gutted. Perhaps the First Amendment should be further gutted - after all, the authors didn't have, and couldn't conceive of computers which permit people like you to post idiotic musings about gutting the parts of the Constitution of which they don't approve.

Educate yourself. Learn the difference between "suspected"' and "indicted," Perhaps then people can begin to take you seriously.

Poor evil minded children like Cynthia Tucker will never understand that it’s not just the 2nd Amendment, it’s the entire Constitution. She and her ilk can’t, or won’t, see that the same narrow minded, Chicken Little, zealots who burned a few odd women at the stake are still with us and are still more than willing to pick and choose which rights free Americans should be able to exercise.

What I don't understand, Ms. Tucker, is why a modern liberal society, like ours, hasn't gotten around to tattooing a serial number on, and registering, all the penises of newborn males. After all, thousands of rapes happen every day in our society because there are just too many penises out there running around... and the Police have no way of knowing where they all are!

Wouldn't it be prudent to just go ahead and nut all the...uhhh, I mean neuter all the newborn males right from the start? That way there can never be any rape, violence, homophobia, or male-centrism in our modern liberal society.

And then, all the other countries of the world will see how advanced and enlightened we are and willingly to the same!

Correct?

Yes I meant that with sarcasm, but it is exactly where they're headed.

Tucker's a dimwit. I had to laugh at her column bemoaning the 'lack of civility' in politics today.

Sheesh, lady, where have you been for the last ten years? Do you even crack open a history book, for that matter?

"Americans of the future will look back and wonder why the National Rifle Association could make grown men tremble at its pronouncements"

The wonder to me is why the NRA is still considered relevant when they refused to support the Empty Holsters (2A March) or the Restore the Constitution Rally.

Funniest line in that "article":

"The Nature of the Threat and Proposed Reforms,” concerned a modest bill sponsored by Senator Frank Lautenberg of New Jersey."

Frank Lautenberg has NEVER sponsored a modest gun control bill in his life! HA!

LOL!

If I didn't understand that she is an utter imbecile I would be quite insulted to be equated with "the right". I am much more serious about Liberty than that. Including guns.
