Fortunately, there was a real "Only One" on hand.
I say "fortunately," because the Aloha State is "may issue," meaning they may not. And isn't this interesting:
In Hawaii, carry is allowed with a permit, but is restricted to "On Duty, In Uniform" and one's employer must register through a local police department. Generally, uniformed security personnel and armored couriers are granted permits.You mean "Magnum P.I." was fiction...?

Two unnamed "witnesses" say the individual was "brandishing" a gun at an overlook. Was there anyone being "brandished at"? Or could it be that it is now illegal to simply "have" a gun in one's hand? Could the "witnesses" be prime examples of hoplophobia? If not, and if the individual was "brandishing" a gun at no one, then he would be within his rights to not surrender a personal defense weapon if challenged by someone in street clothes waving a gun and claiming to be an FBI agent. As noted, the occurrence of fake police seems to be increasing. More questions need to be asked ....... and answered.
It sounds to me like the man should have been in a nervous hospital instead of out trying to make like he was an "Only One".
Since this place seems to be a flint for flames, I tend to lurk, however, I need to say this: In Hawaii, much like California, Michigan, Illinois, Washington D.C., etc: "Whipping it out" in "public" usually = getting shot by the "authorities" and the mindset they (anti-gun politician Fat-Cats) foster...Not saying it's "right", just saying it's reality...and I am a Realist, above all...
