FBI case shows government double standard on guns and freedom

New laws are the last thing we need--besides, they always seem only to apply to those of us targeted for control, with carve-out exemptions for the you-know-whos. [Read]

The Daily Outrage for today. Banana Republic stuff, like the fired cop who took hostages on a bus in Manila TO TRY TO GET REINSTATED. If he had survived, he'd have gotten paid leave until he was feeling all better.
I completely believe that fedgov DOES demonize whistleblowers and people who object to "only following orders," and makes them out to be worse than Charles Manson, and if this man is one of those, God bless and protect him. But even so, what they're doing to our service members tells the tale. Thanks for drawing the parallel, David.

Speaking of "carve-out exemptions for you-know-whos" it seems to me that is just one sympton of our present overall problem which can be described as confusion over who the boss really is in this country. We have evolved from a people governed by our consent to a people ruled arbitrarily, our consent be damned. Sort of like in the 1770's, you know?
