We're the Former Only Ones Degreed Enough

Patton, who is charged with second-degree murder and is being held in the Fairfax jail without bond, is a former Alexandria City sheriff's deputy. [More]
He brought plastic ties to bind his victims and it's only second degree? That doesn't show premeditation?

The way the goons/cops look at it, he was only being professional. I wouldn't be suprised if he got probation.

The TV shows call that -- plastic ties, gloves, literal smoking gun -- a "murder kit."
Willing to invade a home and kill .. over a speed bump. Maybe he intended to torture them too, with their own kitchen implements. Why else would he bother with binding them?
Nobody's gonna tell him how fast he can drive in his own neighborhood. He used to be able to speed ANYWHERE with impunity.
We know too many like him are still on the street. Municipalities LIKE their cops large and in charge.
