The parents of a teenager say an off-duty San Jose policeman showed up at their home and handcuffed their son for having sex with the officer's 14-year-old stepdaughter. [More]And they just let him?
And to add insult to injury, the boy is charged, but the "Only One"-connected girl is not? And only after a complaint was reported to internal affairs?
Make sure you read the comments, just to understand the mindset of those who think jackboots are fashionable.

Short of using a gun to blow this jackboot to hell, what do you do? The cop is trained to fight, and would probably draw his gun and execute the unarmed (remember, this IS San Jose, PDRK) parents. And that would be proper police policy. (Sorry, David, but I don't believe there are only a few bad apples in California police departments. The departments themselves are corrupt from the top down, and this is condoned by the state government.)
In your home, while your children are being assaulted, it's time.
If you won't act then, you'll never act. Defender had a great comment the other day that says it better than I could.
A 15 year old and a 14 year old? Unlawful sexual intercourse?? Arrested??? What the Hell?????
Unlawful Arrest prank? Misuse of Authority? Retaliation for report to Internal Affairs?
Oh, That’s right – California, the land of dreams and unreality.

Ma used to say, a lot, that it takes two to tango. The split tails always beat the rap because nobody seems to remember who the deadliest sex is. If women aren't something besides trouble, I ain't met it.
Thanks, David. Always glad when my rants are worth quoting.
The policeman is guilty of ABDUCTION, not to mention conflict of interest and illegal use of force under color of law. Even in those sappy, preachy cop TV shows, they don't let officers investigate crimes involving their own family. Talking to the boy's parents BY PHONE would have been the thing to do, or at most calling on-duty cops if he wanted to press the statutory rape charge. And to that I say does he think we're still in Leave it to Beaver land? Gee, Wally. This kinda stuff could make a fella wanna think about doin' sump'n Mom and Dad would kinda not like.
So, officer, have you talked to anyone else about where you are this evening? No? Good. Let me show you some landscaping I've been doing... down in the woods.
Defender, I've yet to see one of your comments that is not worth quoting. Guys like you and the other regular comment posters here make the whole experience worthwhile for me--when we lost Straightarrow I felt like an irreplaceable member of a unique team had fallen.
I only wish more of you would share the wisdom and insights I've come to admire, learn from and rely on over at the GRE site--hardly a column goes by where I don't think it would benefit from your perspectives, or see some strays that need rounding up, or another voice advancing reason would be really, really helpful...
