I like it how Helmke, like Satan with the Torah, attempts to use the Bible for evil.
There are no comments allowed on Helmke's site/post, and while he referenced Matthew 5:38-42, he should probably know about Jesus' last directive to his followers while still in an early body:
Luke 22:36 - [Jesus] said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one."

Both are charged with felony murder and especially aggravated robbery.

HUH?? I thought murder was always a felony. Is there another kind? And robbery is always extremely aggravating - especially when the victim is murdered.
Police Lt. Kirk Eidson said, "It may have been a different story if they'd (the murderers) had a gun..."
I think it certainly may have been a different story if Rev. Strong had a gun. In fact, I believe the Reverend would still be on this side of life and we'd have two less cowardly thugs in the world.
In a devastating flood, a man had retreated onto his roof.
A man in a rowboat offered him a ride to safety.
"No, thank you. God will provide."
Shortly, a family in a motorboat did the same. Same answer.
A fire department rescue helicopter lowered a ladder to him, but he waved them off, thinking "God will provide."
The water rose and he drowned.
On reaching Heaven, he asked God why He had forsaken him when He promised to provide for believers.
"What did you want? I sent you two boats and a helicopter."
Inspired people invent things to heal the sick and strengthen the helpless. The time of Helmke, like the Luddites who tried to sabotage the Industrial Revolution, is gone. The hamster is dead but the wheel is still spinning for a little while.
In Matthew, when thousands listened to Christ, He was actually instructing His disciples, on how to evangelize the lost. The "turn the other cheek" instruction is for preachers and evangelists, not for everyday people. True, everyday people can heed the instruction, for the purposes of evangelism, but it is not a required behaviour when dealing with enemies. If it was, Christs' followers would have died out in the first century, AD.
