Over the Top?

In a campaign season of over-the-top ads, one stands out.

A series of mailers accuse at least two Republican legislative candidates of supporting convicted rapists’ and other felons’ possession of handguns.

The claim, made by the Nevada State Democratic Party, is false, according to gun law experts in Nevada and nationwide. [More]
Guess they either never heard of "shall not be infringed," or else "Anyone who can't be trusted with a gun can't be trusted without a custodian."

How could any responsible legal system allow some proven monster to walk among us? And if he's a "felon" for reasons like, say, defying this, what kind of proven monster would demand he be disarmed?

Second Amendment supporters: taking the rap for revolving door justice since socialist rehabilitative "justice" hit our shores.

Also:

Gun contraband laws exist to demonstrate the existence of gravity. The charges are dropped when actual crimes against property and persons are alleged. Couldn't we just eliminate those steps and just charge suspects with actual crimes?

Don't forget the M word: misdemeanor. Increasingly popular with the PTB.
The gulf between rights and the law appears not to be bridgeable by reasoned discussion.
We tried.
I was especially touched by the man explaining the layout of his home for the potential gun raiders so his wife and children wouldn't be harmed when his elected officials send a SWAT team for his semi-auto rifle, and him.
If I were his neighbor, they'd really need to watch their six. It's not just MY door I'm concerned about. That's what it's going to take.

So long as there is a profit motive involved in our Justice system, every Patriot should look at every so-called criminal very carefully. Our Political Class uses Lawfare very effectively to be rid of political rivals and others.

That said: If society deems a man to be so untrustworthy that we may not trust him with a firearm, then he should not be among us at all. A motivated man with a claw hammer can do a lot of damage.

If a Citizen crosses the line, is prosecuted and serves his sentence, and is released to the public, every Right of Citizenship remains innately his to exercise. Anything less creates a second class citizenry.

Lawfare. That's catchy.

An Australian coroner suggests mental health examinations be required for anyone wanting a gun license.
Anyone surprised?
