Support Sam Adams' call to randomly drug test Portland cops (and more)

[E]ven though I rejected his overtures the last time he reached out to me, and ended up denouncing him instead of gun owner rights, in this effort, I'll not only join him, I'll turn things up a few notches. [More]

Today's Gun Rights Examiner column looks at a proposal that's altogether too modest in terms of being "'good for the gander' fair."

They're not ALREADY being tested? Cheez, BUS DRIVERS are subject to unannounced random drug tests.
I consider it a violation of 4th Amendment rights, BUT the cops in Sam Adams' Paradise are obiously on something, if only steroids or adrenaline.
You know, I used to be offended by the language in the bumper sticker "Mean People Suck." I've had my priorities readjusted.

The unions are objecting. Who made it a negotiable point vs. a condition of continued employment? There are many other high-risk occupations that require substance testing both pre-employment and following any exceptional incident.

Oh, and don't let the door hit you on your fanny on the way out.
