The Heller and McDonald decisions reaffirmed the 2nd Amendment as a citizen's right - "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

The key to controlling the cost of government is getting the government smaller and more efficient in performing essential tasks.

If Congress repeals every piece of Federal legislation that controls the sale and possession of weapons and ammunition by the citizens (NFA '33, FFA '38, GCA '68, etc.) then the explosive investigative and tax enforcement function of BATFE can be transferred to other Federal agencies such as DOJ and the IRS (which used to enforce Federal tobacco and alcohol taxes before 1972). BATFE would then no longer be needed and could be shut down. Employees not transferred can join the rest of the unemployed. I am sure that their skills will be highly valued in the private sector.

Remember, this would not be the first Federal agency shut down. Many Federal agencies established in the 1930's no longer exist.

Any Executive Orders that infringe on citizens' 2nd Amendment rights should result in impeachment as an abuse of authority.

Remember, possession of neither diesel fuel or fertilizer is a crime, but what you do with them when they are combined can be. It is time to pursue those who have truly committed crime that harms others, not those who might commit crime only if we pass more legislation.
