"Defending the Second Amendment"

...a time honored tradition of hunting...

...As a sportsman...

...Americans rightly deserve the option of transporting a firearm in a responsible way...

...give residents in states like Mississippi with concealed-carry permits the ability to carry their firearms in another state... [More]

Good grief.

And this is from a "champion."

A Quote from the guy's site:
"The right of individuals to own firearms for recreational use and to protect their families and property has been under attack for years."

No, genius. Have you ever read read the Second? It's not about recreational use. It's not even about protecting families and property. And, according to SCOTUS, it applies to every individual, regardless of how you define "militia".

It is about the security of a free state. A free state is only threatened by overbearing and tyrannical governments. Thus, to secure a free state, it sometimes becomes necessary to remove, with force, overbearing and tyrannical governments.

2A is NOT primarily about recreational use and self defense. Those are fringe benefits. 2A is about the people, the citizens, possessing the ability to kill tyrants and the agents of tyranny.
