Looks like some of long beach's finest are getting a paid vacation for the holidays. Justice, USSA style.

The spokescritter for the murderers claimed that "There was no time to react", yet they did react by murdering the guy. Where are the "good cops" condemning this murder?

Oh, and that neighbor who called the cops is a worthless piece of scum. DON'T CALL THE COPS! EVER! It is never worth the risk to you or others.

Only a feckless coward would say "the cops were right" in this tragedy.

The very idea of the police is a bad one.

Those who beat the drum for irrational fear of weapons have blood on their hands.
What about a crook-ed stick? What about a chicken tender in the school lunchroom? Your damn INDEX FINGER can scare people so much they wet their didies, right, Mr. Henick?
I don't remember who or where, but someone was having trouble with loud, crude, nasty, violent next door neighbors, so he sat on his porch and cleaned his main battle rifle very thoroughly where they could see. Things got real quiet after that.
I guess HE's lucky to be alive.
The neighbors would have laughed if the police blitzed him.
Things are upside down.

The vitriol and raging hatred of the victim and the completely smug and callous attitude of the Only One apologists is truly disgusting to behold.
I agree with one of the commenters: "I don't need the police to protect me". As if we need to even debate that pretense any more.

As a former San Diego police officer, I am appalled by the number of citizens shot and killed in this country by ill-trained and cowardly LEO's. However, I have also worked with some officers who truly lived for the moment when they would be "justified" in using their duty weapon to kill. I'd like to think most of these few sociopaths were hoping to hose a bad guy, but I did know several who didn't care.

I had a sergeant who was vilified by the rest of the department because he blew the whistle on one of these sociopaths. Fortunately, this particular bad cop died at the hands of his intended victim, and my sergeant had the courage to testify in court, helping to acquit the young man who fought back against this cop.

It is a heinous thing that so many people have been unnecessarily killed, with no consequences for the officers involved. From Eric Scott to Ruby Ridge and Waco, and all of the other instances we have read about, it says that the police and federal agencies do not consider citizens as worthy of protection, but rather as subjects to be ruled. And they know they will pay no penalty for their misdeeds and murders. At least until the piper calls.
