I saw a "Most Shocking Video" of a fast-food worker being robbed by a man with a rifle. The robber gave him X number opf seconds to open the safe in the office. The nervous clerk fumbled with the combination. The robber says he has X seconds to get it open or he'll kill him. The clerk pleads for patience and struggles to open the safe.
Time's up. The robber's rifle is already aimed at the clerk's head. KLICK.
Misfire, empty chamber, unknown. The clerk grabs the rifle and they proceed to struggle and battle through most of the kitchen area, with the clerk knowing if he loses his grip he's dead. I seem to remember that the clerk is an experienced wrestler and that the robber finally lets go and runs.
I say give them what they need, whether it's company policy or within the law or not, because by pointing a gun at YOU, they've announced that they're ready -- maybe eager -- to give you the last thing you want.
