A White House spokesperson did indeed say Obama will have something to say on gun control. I think he realizes it's a re-election-mooting issue, especially after he's disappointed his supporters to his right AND left, for both being more socialist than he presented himself to be while campaigning, or too slow about it.

Leftist are giving the Republicans grief because they didn't applaud his mentions of healthcare reform. Do they hate poor people and want them to die, or ... could it be that UNCONSTITUTIONAL MANDATES bother even them? The Tea Party people are in the House.
MSNBC and CNN don't seem to have found their response to the speech worth carrying, by the way.

The U6 measure of real unemployment says 16.7%, not quite double the media happy-talk 9.7%. Would have been nice to mention that.
She'll still be damned as a hater and an obstructionist.
Obama is either very smart, or perhaps he's just not as evil as people fear. My bet is going with not that evil, because I read his constitutional law analysis of the bill of rights, and I gotta say, he's really not that smart.
