Don't Have a Cow

SB 1246 by Sen. Jim Norman, R-Tampa, would make it a first-degree felony to photograph a farm without first obtaining written permission from the owner.[More]
Jeez, that could get you up to 30 years.  And make you a prohibited person.

Nice digs, Jim.  With any luck, maybe we'll be able to stop by the side of the road and take pictures of the bulls supervising you on the work farm, and the prohibited person will be you.

Bastiat was correct. It will be through the legislative process (i.e. the law), one tit and tat at a time until we are no different than bees in a hive or ants in a colony, or inmates in a prison.

I don't suppose the idea of a privacy fence ever came up in any discussions. Oh, but that would cost the farm owner some money. Sending someone to prison for thirty years is no skin of his teeth, now is it?

Awww... Norman is probably just depressed and angry now that he has gone from earning $187,000 a year ($95,000 from the Salvation Army plus use of a S.A. provided vehicle and $92,000 as a Hillsborough County Commissioner) to $30,000 a year as a Florida State Senator. After over thirty years with the Salvation Army he was probably looking forward to continued employment with them despite the long commute from Tampa to Tallahassee, a distance over 200 miles that takes 4-4.5 hours to drive, one-way. It is amazing how he was able to work full time for the Salvation Army, since being a Hillsborough County Commissioner is also a full time position. That Jim Norman is really remarkable!
