This is a placeholder for now because I have not had ads on this blog for years. In case I ever start up again, this will be the policy in effect:
The FTC has some fool nonsense rules about ads on blogs or some such and presumes authority over the First Amendment to compel the unfunded mandate that we who earn ad revenues make some kind of disclosure so you don't think we're getting paid to say nice things about people or God knows what, meaning they must think you're stupid, too. I have had a few ads on this site in the past and may do so again if I think it's worth a try. Combined, I probably couldn't buy a box of good cigars each year, let alone a bottle of George T. Stagg, and that is somehow supposed to compromise my morality to force me to say nice things about products and services I don't mean simply in exchange for filthy lucre. If you believe that, leave now--you're not smart enough to be here. Bottom line, aside from welcoming a sponsor, I will do no posts related to their products or services, or reviews of what they offer.
About "The Only Ones"
The purpose of this feature has never been to bash cops. The only reason I do this is to amass a credible body of evidence to present when those who would deny our right to keep and bear arms use the argument that only government enforcers are professional and trained enough to do so safely and responsibly. And it's also used to illustrate when those of official status, rank or privilege, both in law enforcement and in some other government position, get special breaks not available to we commoners, particularly (but not exclusively) when they're involved in gun-related incidents.
Comment House Rules
Keep them on topic. No spam. No threats against anyone except me. Do not feed trolls--I'll take out the trash. Try to keep it clean. I'm the final arbiter. If you don't like the rules, start your own damn blog.
Link Policy
WarOnGuns reciprocates links with liberty-oriented sites promoting the right to keep and bear arms for all peaceable individuals. If you have linked to me and don't see your site below, it's probably just because I haven't noticed it yet. Shoot me an email via the "Contact Form" (see above in this sidebar) if you want to fix that.
As a general rule I remove links for blogs that have been inactive for over one year.
“These guns are used to kill people,” And... the guns carried by your bodyguards and other police officers aren't? Does anybody else see the hypocrisy here? [W3]
Markie Marxist sez: "My commie compadre, Comrade Mayor Bloomberg did a great job of scrupulously avoiding placing any blame whatsoever on one of our Marxist/warrior/hero/criminals who are helping us to bring down capitalist America, and instead, put all the blame on the gun and the Second Amendment, though he did get off track with that irrelevant, ranting reference to armor piercing bullets and crazy talk about deer wearing bullet proof vests, but he is getting close to retirement. Anyway, I'm sure that the gun is feeling real bad about the mayor blaming it. Really! Good thing that Bloomberg didn't mention that our criminal helper had five prior arrests and was wanted on a warrant for aggravated assault. People might have blamed our criminal! Bloomie is very helpful at diverting people's attention from our people like that. He's one of our most useful, useful idiots!"
"You all know what guns are used for," he said of semiautomatic weapons, like the one that killed Figoski
Semiautomatic just sounds so evil. Would he have been less dead with a revolver? These liberal idiot pisswits don't have two brain cells to rub together.
But at least Bloomy has some officer blood to dance in, just what he wanted for Christmas.
If the two officers who entered the apartment knew how to clear rooms safely instead of running down the hallway to talk to the victim, then this may turned out differently. If the officer at the bottom of the stairs was prepared for armed men to exit the apartment, then this may have turned out differently.
Instead of whining about semi-automatic weapons, armor piercing ammunition, and what is going on outside NYC, Mayor Bloomberg, train your own police department on how to do their jobs better and hold them accountable on doing their jobs better. That is the Mayor's responsibility as the chief executive of NYC. Instead, like a magician, he works to draw attention from the actual problem by presenting other problems.

See the part about "armor-piercing bullets"? The officer was shot in the unprotected face, and this cretin yammers on about armor-piercing bullets???
And I guess we never will get it through his thick skull that some people need killin'.
"Evil f***ing liar." Yep. That about says it all about him.

Compare the Mayor's remarks for his "army" with that of Sean Bell:
"It sounds to me like excessive force was used. I can tell you that it is to me unacceptable or inexplicable how you can have 50-odd shots fired."
Note he does NOT call for greater "Cop Control."
Say, how do you like that phrase?

Google "nothing to do with the Second Amendment" with "Bloomberg" - this dipshit has been saying the same crap for years.
Bloomberg and people like him knows the truth and knows how to twist it to their advantage. The sad part is that people beleave them.

Don't know if it was a Freudian slip by Bloomy or the reporter, but...
"...close the so-called “gun shop loophole” that allows gun-buyers to purchase weapons without a background check." [emphasis added]
Anyone know where these shops are? I think I just found where my next purchase is coming from.
Of course, in his mind, the fact that a gun can be purchased at all is loophole enough.
