It really does seem much of the LE self-justification scam business model revolves around agents provocateur egging on the low-hanging fruits and then swooping in to become big headline heroes, so we can all know what they just saved us from.

I'm sure that it is a coincidence that the day after a congressman proposes eliminating the TSA, a CIA informant smuggles a bomb onto an aircraft, and the news reports that the new TSA perv scanners would have caught it.
My thoughts exactly. This script is getting old.
You can always tell the FBI/CIA snitch. He's the one wanting to blow something up or kill someone.
One wonders just how many terrorist plots would simply collapse if a few FBI agents called in sick for a week...
