We're the Only Ones Paramilitary Enough

That seems a bit different from the official Mission Statement.

Perhaps he meant supervising deputies. The question, which was subsequently clarified, was also a misstatement. The question referred to deputies vs civilians. It appears that newspeak dictates that police and sheriff department sworn officers are no longer civilians. If they're not civilians, they are military - something that the Sheriff confirms.

I guess that means that in Idaho, there's no police state - it's actually being run by military. The conclusion is that Idaho is now operating under martial law, with the consent of the people.

Good of the Sheriff to confirm that little fact. I wonder what the people think about that - if they even care...
