Meet Alan Rosenfeld. [Read]
No wonder government and public sector unions want to raise taxes so you pay your "fair share." And if you don't like it, you're a teabagger, you teabagger.

A little street justice might render him unable to enjoy his ill gotten fortune
When I was a firemedic, I was in a public sector union. At no time did I ever advocate raising taxes.
However, if you want public services like fire and ems (and the public does) you have to be willing to pay for them. Just because an employer happens to be the government doesn't exempt them from the law of supply and demand.
Something has to give. If the public wants to pay X in taxes, and they want X+20 worth of services, they either need to agree to a cut in services, or an increase in taxes.
For example, the state of Florida is complaining that the pension system is breaking the Florida budget, since it is 3% of state expenditures. Medicaid is 30% of the state budget. Where do you think the largest savings is?
Entitlements are what is breaking budgets, but no one will touch the sacred vote buying cows, and they instead plan on making their cuts from employee pay.
So many of us are leaving. I am in the private sector now, making more money than I was in private.
