The tactics trainees take away from this course just may help save lives. [More]Whose lives? Why are our police forces preparing for domestic war? Why aren't such preparations the subject of publicized national hearings? How much of the training includes reminders of Constitutional restraints on government, the importance of oaths of office, a review of illegal orders and the duty to stand down from them...?
And why do the "Authorized Journalist" watchdogs come off more like enthusiastic commercial spokesmodels, whose job it is to sell us on the idea instead of question it?

Perhaps they are getting ready for King Barack the First to declare martial law and "suspend" elections indefinitely?
Every Presidential election now we are treated to the hysterical claim that the incumbent is going to a suspend elections for one reason or another. Well, Bush didn't do it and neither will Obama. And the simple reason is that no matter who wins the election the same people will be in charge.
