After Newtown shooting, it’s time to have that ‘national conversation on guns’

The bottom line is, he was evil, and evil is something that will devour those who do not resist it, repel it and send it howling back into the darkness. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner commentary speaks of the unspeakable. It's within our power to take over the dialogue, and there's never been a better time than now.

My "conversation": "No. Just no. And I don't have to justify it to you gun grabbers. Shut up and go away. Or bring on the war, and see gun violence the likes of which you never thought possible."

It's time we gun owners start fighting back against the progressive agenda. Put it back on the liberals. They have for too long pushed to keep God out of the classroom, push the secular agenda in public forums and relentlessly glorify moral relativism that has contributed to the moral decay of our society. This has been going on since the 60's, and the Liberals should be held accountable for this tragedy more than any other sector of our society. Problem is, current conservative and libertarian politions don't have the guts to take the fight to them. Sad!

The schoolyard bully always wants to have that conversation about how much of your lunch money he can have. The appropriate response is to kick him in the nuts.

A 20 year old with a rifle and two pistols breaka into a school killing students and staff after killing his mother off-site and stealing her weapons and automobile. How many state and Federal laws does that violate? Did the enactment of those laws stop this individual? NO!

Time for people to get a clue that laws do not directly stop much, but provide a reason to arrest, charge, jail, try, convict and fine and/or incarcerate an individual after he breaks those laws. Except that, many if not most of these mass murderers kill themselves, leaving survivors demanding that something be done to prevent it happening again. If he had not killed himself, Lanza would have probably received the same type of treatment that Hinckley, the attempted assassin of President Reagan received.

It is well past time that we do something to prevent this violence. The only way to prevent this or to at least reduce the death totals is to insist that all responsible adults be armed, trained and prepared to stop anyone attempting to do this in addition to basic firefighting, First Aid and CPR training. We must all be "First Responders", with no "gun-free" zones that in reality are soft targets that present little effective opposition for those with bad intent. The ability and duty to respond appropriately is the core of the meaning of the word "responsibility". Attainment of the skills and tools is essential. In Israel, teachers and other adults commonly carry pistols and rifles to guard against terrorist attack.

When kindergarteners learn that teachers Miss Smith and Mrs. Jones as well as Mommy and Daddy responsibly carrying a weapon means that they will all be safer, then they will all truly be safer. Smoke detectors, sprinklers, fire extinguishers, fire blankets, first aid kits, fire delay doors, marked fire exits, fire alarm boxes, evacuation plans and drills do not make a building unsafe, but do make a building safer if an emergency such as a fire does occur.

I don't want no "national conversation about guns"

I want to have a conversation about Homeland Security. I want to have a conversation about reckless spending. I want to have a conversation about the overwelming militarization of the police. I want to talk about the parasites and the corrupt

I can't help but notice that the police responders are wearing a catalog of stuff too scawy for you to have (and illegal for mere mortals in CT) from their decked out, high cap AR's and high cap pistols to their bullet proof body and head gear.

Even if it were 6 million dead you could never convince me that guns in the hands of the law abiding, the yearning to be free are not the plague of darkness and repression that gun control and all this brown shirt homeland security IS

Fight islam Now

Now that negative taxes have been deemed legal anyone NOT owning a gun should pony up some cash to the money pits of government to pay for the "fair share" they can't be bothered to be responsible for.
